In the match, where RCB eventually defeated RR by 7 runs, Kohli dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal by landing an easy catch. As soon as Kohli completed the catch, he turned to Anushka in the stands to blow a flying kiss– making the actor thrilled with her gesture as she clapped and cheered.
Kohli’s gesture was appreciated by fans on social media, who wrote that “old days” were back. “Cutuu as usual,” wrote one fans, while another called Anushka his “lucky charm”. “Our king and queen,” wrote one Twitter user.
Recently, Anushka, who hails from Bengaluru, revisited her favourite eating spots with Kohli and also shared a few photos on her Instagram stories giving fans a glimpse of her outing with her family. The couple was accompanied by the actor’s parents on their food trail.
On the work front, it will be Anushka who will be next seen as a cricketer in her upcoming Chakda Xpress, a film inspired by the life and times of former Indian cricket captain Jhulan Goswami. According to the official synopsis, the movie traces the glorious journey of one of the fastest female pacers in the history of world cricket as she moves up the ladder despite the countless hindrances posed by misogynistic politics to fulfil her only dream: to play cricket.
Chakda Xpress is produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz and directed by Prosit Roy of Paatal Lok fame.
