talkSPORT lands live commentary rights to Indian Premier League

Friday 14th April: Following on from talkSPORT’s award-winning coverage of international winter cricket in India and the West Indies, the network has secured the rights of 20 Indian Premier League matches across April and May. The live commentary starts next Tuesday 18th April on talkSPORT2, as part of a new deal with international streaming service DAZN.

Fans will hear familiar voices from talkSPORT’s award-winning roster of commentators and pundits, including Cricket Editor Jon Norman and broadcaster Andrew McKenna, as well as Australian Cricket Writer Jarrod Kimber, who will cover some of the biggest matches throughout the IPL. 

They will be joined by pundits Monty Panesar, the former English International Cricketer, New Zealand Cricketer Iain O’Brien, Irish Cricketer Cath Dalton and former England fast bowler Steve Harmison. The team will lend their cricketing expertise to the live commentary, from Sunrisers Hyderabad v Mumbai Indians to Gujarat Titans v Delhi Capitals. Listeners of the talkSPORT network will also hear coverage of some of cricket’s biggest names throughout the IPL, including Ben Stokes, Virat Kohli and many more.
