Sri Lanka will lock horns against UAE in the sixth game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, on Tuesday, October 18.
In the first match, Sri Lanka got demolished by the Namibian attack which resulted in an unexpected defeat by a big margin of 55 runs.
After bowling first, a Sri Lankan bowler Madushan got 2/37 and the rest bowlers, Theekshana, Chameera, Karunaratne, and Hasaranga grabbed one dismissal each.
Whereas, while chasing a total of 163 runs, Sri Lanka was bowled out to 108 runs. The Lankan batters looked colorless as if they were questioning their own ability to make runs.
Dasun Shanaka was the top scorer for his side with 29 runs, and Rajapaksha was the second topper with 20 runs.
On the other hand, UAE lost to the Netherlands in their opening encounter by three wickets. For the team, Muhammad Wasim (41 runs) scored some runs but the rest of the UAE batters were trying to find some luck.
However, UAE bowlers did a great job and tried to put their team in the game. Junaid Siddique came as the top threat for the Dutch team with 3 dismissals. Other UAE bowlers also went well.
