IPL 2023 match against the Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The right-handed batter scored 44 runs from 27 balls against the Mohali-based side, but it went in vain as his side lost by 13 runs. Rohit smashed his first six of the game on the last ball of the fourth over, which was bowled by Arshdeep Singh, and then followed it up with another maximum on the fourth ball of the next over, which was bowled by PBKS stand-in skipper Sam Curran. The right-handed batter, who is the leading six-hitter for
India in ODIs and T20Is, joined the elite 250 club on the third ball of the ninth over, which was bowled by Rahul Chahar. Saturday’s game was Rohit’s 233rd match in the cash-rich league, and he now has 250 sixes to his name, which is the third most by any batter overall.
