PELLA — Pella Corporation will host a cricket match at Pella Sports Park beginning at 2 p.m. Oct. 24. The community is invited to attend.
Attendees will learn more about the sport of cricket from experts and emcees as they give play-by-play details throughout the game.
Pella CEO Tim Yaggi will lead a team of players squaring off against an opposing team lead by Pella CFO, Joher Akolawala, beginning at 2 p.m. After the India and U.S. national anthems play and the match concludes, the public is invited to get hands-on and learn the game from 4:30-5 p.m.
“This kind of cultural experience provides a fun way to learn more about the diverse backgrounds, skills, and experiences [of people] who live and work in Pella. We’re excited to bring this open-to-the-public activity back to the community for the third time and invite everyone to learn more about Indian Culture,” says Brooke Bryan, communications activation specialist at Pella Corporation.
