Although the sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League is more than six months away, franchises have already begun making preparations for IPL 2023. We might see 3 new coaching faces, in the latest edition of IPL. The chances of changes in IPL 2023 coaches is very high.
The most crucial component of an IPL franchise is the coaching, which truly aids the team in developing and winning the games and ultimately the competition. It will be more significant in IPL 2023 because teams won’t be permitted to change their core group.
Without a coach, a team cannot win the trophy and its players cannot perform at a higher level, which eventually hinders the expansion of a franchise into the Indian Premier League business.
As per recent media sources, Chandrakant Pandit will take over as the new coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Anil Kumble is being let go by Punjab Kings. The Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are now led by coach Tom Moody, are also considering the prospect of making changes.
Kolkata Knight Riders (Old Coach: Brendon McCullum)
After Brendon McCullum left, Kolkata Knight Riders named Chandrakant Pandit as their new head coach. Brendon McCullum was a good fit for the management, but after he was named England manager, KKR had to consider other candidates.
Before focusing on Chandrakant Pandit, an Indian coach, they considered a few other possibilities. Given that Pandit had performed well at the domestic level and that the IPL features a distinct type of pressure-filled cricket, it was an intriguing decision.
Punjab Kings (Old Coach: Anil Kumble)
Kumble’s contract with Punjab Kings, which he assumed control of for a three-year period in IPL 2020, is not likely to be renewed by the team. Only 19 of his 42 matches were victories over that time, which is a poor win percentage.
The Punjab franchise is considering several candidates, including coach Trevor Bayliss and former England captain Eoin Morgan. There are rumours that the franchise would be willing to let an Indian take the reins.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (Old Coach: Tom Moody)
Sunrisers has a far more intriguing situation. They are keeping things under wraps, but they are also open to hiring a new coach in Hyderabad if they find someone qualified for the position. They haven’t said anything about it so far.
Tom Moody, without a doubt, assisted Sunrisers Hyderabad in winning the IPL 2016 championship and helped the team advance to the IPL 2018 finals, but he has also been blamed for the franchise’s failings during the past several seasons of the Indian Premier League.
