As Rana was departing, Shokken did or said something that enraged the Kolkata captain and he had a go at the bowler, pointing his fingers and gestured angrily. The umpire and the other Mumbai Indians players had to intervene and Rana went on his way after that.
In the match, Venkatesh Iyer kept Kolkata on course of a decent total as he scored his maiden Indian Premier League century.
Earlier, MI’ stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl against Kolkata Knight Riders in their Indian Premier League match on Sunday.
MI’s regular captain Rohit Sharma didn’t start the game as he is down with a stomach bug. The opener is among five substitutes named by his side.
MI handed a debut to Arjun Tendulkar while Duan Jansen also came in for the five-time champions.
KKR are fielding an unchanged playing XI.
