The Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) completed 44 league matches in 36 days. With the addition of two new teams – Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants – the 10-team tournament looks riveting to watch.
Many encounters went down the wire, culminating in a thrilling finish like Titans all-rounder Rahul Tewatia smashed two sixes off Odeon Smith’s bowling when the equation was 12 needed off two balls. Rashid Khan clobbered three sixes in the final over of Marco Jansen to pull off a spectacular run chase.
Gujarat Titans are leading the points table with 16 points from nine games.
In fact, the Hardik Pandya-led side is the first IPL team to start the tournament with eight wins in nine matches, the best performance by a debut team in the IPL.

IPL 2022 Hit XI Of The Season So Far
1. Jos Buttler
Buttler is having a tremendous IPL 2022 season with Rajasthan Royals (RR), scoring 566 runs in eight innings at an impressive strike rate of 155.07.
The English wicketkeeper-batter has hit three centuries and as many fifties so far this season and overall four IPL hundreds. He is just behind Virat Kohli (5) and Chris Gayle (6) for scoring most IPL hundreds.
Buttler has hit 47 boundaries and 36 sixes so far in the tournament. He pummelled MI pacer Basil Thampi 26 runs in five balls in an over.
The Englishman could also chase Kohli’s tally of 973 runs in IPL 2016.
