Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Harry Brook was seen taking over the duties of a cameraman during the game against the Delhi Capitals. Commentator Harsha Bhogle on air dropped a hilarious comment which left his co-commentators in splits.
Sunrisers Hyderabad ‘s (SRH) struggles in the 2023 edition of the IPL continued as they suffered their fifth loss of the tournament after Delhi Capitals further derailed their campaign by clinching a thriller on Monday, April 24. Sunrisers batters are living up to the mark and their struggles continued against a good bowling attack of the Delhi Capitals on a slow Hyderabad track. Opening batter Harry Brook got out for another low score as apart from that century against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he has largely struggled against too much pace and spin in the ongoing IPL.
Brook got out to Anrich Nortje while trying to hit out of the trouble in an attempt to play a scoop after a 14-ball 7. Brook may be struggling with the bat on the field, however, he enjoyed his time off the field behind the camera. Brook took over the duties of the cameraman for a few minutes and commentator Harsha Bhogle couldn’t stop himself from making an epic remark.
Seeing Brook behind the camera, Bhogle said, “Oh! we got a new cameraman. He gets paid more than any cameraman in the history of television production.” As soon as he finished his sentence, Bhogle’s co-commentators were in splits. Brook was the 5th highest paid player at IPL 2023 auction when SRH splurged INR 13.25 crore over him.
However, not just Brook most of the SRH batters struggled on Monday against quality spin bowling from Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. Apart from Mayank Agarwal, who scored a solid 49, the likes of Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma and captain Aiden Markram all struggled to get going. Markram questioned his team’s batters’ intent and excitement to win as the Sunrisers were subjected to their third loss in a row.
The two teams will face each other once again in their respective next game on Saturday, April 29 in the reverse fixture in Delhi. Delhi, Sunrisers and Kolkata Knight Riders all are tied on four points now in 7 games.
