RCB were in the game till the time Virat was at the crease, but a stunning catch by Venkatesh Iyer near the boundary ropes brought an end to his innings. The incident happened during the first ball of the 13th over, which was bowled by Andre Russell. Virat, who had hammered six boundaries by that time, tried to play a big shot, and he got the elevation as well, but before the ball could cross the boundary rope, it found Iyer, who completed the catch and brought an end to Virat’s stay at the crease.
After Virat’s catch, the cameraman turned his attention to Anushka, who was watching the match from the stands, and she was seen in total disbelief.

Even though he didn’t manage to help RCB win on Wednesday night, during his 54-run innings against KKR, Virat did create history by becoming the first batter in history to score 3000 or more T20 runs at a single venue.
